The 2025 regular season has not been kind to the Colorado Rockies. Their woes continued yesterday when they lost 10-3 at home to the Chicago White Sox. That was Colorado’s 17th straight series loss at home. It matched the longest home series losing streak in league history. They are now tied with the Philadelphia Athletics, who also lost 17 consecutive series at home from June 1916 to May 1917.
The last time the Colorado Rockies won a series at home was September 16-18, 2024, against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Will the Rockies avoid making the wrong type of history the next time they take the field at home?
With a loss to the White Sox today, the Rockies have now lost 17 straight series at home dating back to last season.

The Colorado Rockies(20-69) are in danger of going down as one of the worst ballclubs in the history of Major League Baseball. Their winning percentage(.225) is the second-worst in league history. Only the 1899 Cleveland Spiders ended the season with a worse winning percentage(.130).
Colorado is also on pace to break a record set by the 2024 Chicago White Sox. Chicago lost 121 games last year, which set a record for the most losses by a team in the modern era. The Rockies are on pace to go 36-126 in 2025. The ballclub has some time to avoid going down in infamy this year.
The Rockies close out their three-game set against the Chicago White Sox this afternoon. Colorado will not have any more games at home until after the MLB All-Star Break. They come out of the break hosting the Minnesota Twins for a three-game set. If the Colorado Rockies lose that series, it will be the most consecutive series lost at home in league history.
