The Colorado Rockies Finally Won a Series

It turned out that a trip down to Miami was what the Colorado Rockies needed to accomplish something they had not done since 2024. Colorado won the first two games of their series against the Miami Marlins. It was Colorado’s first series win of the year. The last time they were victorious in a series was September in September 2024 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Will the Colorado Rockies be able to make it three wins in a row?

Colorado has outscored the Miami Marlins 9-6 over the first two games of their series. Catcher Hunter Goodman has been especially good against the Marlins. He has homered three times and has four RBI. Even though Colorado finally has a series win under its belt, 2025 has been a miserable season for the ballclub.

They have the worst record in the league at 11-50. With a winning percentage of 18%, Colorado is on a historically bad pace. The team with the worst winning percentage in league history is the 1899 Cleveland Spiders at 13%. The worst winning percentage in the modern era is the 1916 Philadelphia Athletics. They finished with a winning percentage of 23.5. Colorado is unfortunately between these two squads. The 2025 Colorado Rockies want to avoid going down as one of the worst teams in league history.

Final Thoughts

Colorado returns to the diamond this afternoon looking to notch three straight wins for the first time since September 12-14, 2024. The Rockies finally have some positive momentum. They will look to keep it going.
