The 'Last 30-HR season by MLB team' quiz

If you’re pulling for Team USA at the World Baseball Classic this year, take a moment to thank an Italian.

Led by Kansas City Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantinio’s  WBC-record three home runs, Team Italy beat Team Mexico 9-1 win to finish pool play undefeated and eliminate the Mexican squad. The win also let Team USA avoid an embarrassing elimination before the knockout stages, something manager Mark DeRosa apparently didn’t know was a possibility.

The result means Italy will face off Pool A runner-up Puerto Rico in the quarterfinals, while the United States takes on Canada. Korea vs. the Dominican Republic and Venezuela vs. Japan round out the opening round of knockout play.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Pasquantino is coming off of his most productive season in the Big Leagues, posting career-highs in home runs (32), RBIs (113) and walks (49). With that being said, can you name the most recent players to hit 30 home runs for each MLB franchise?

Good luck!
