The 'MLB active home run leaders' quiz

While Chicago White Sox fans are consuming every bit of viral Wild Card victory content following their sweep of the Houston Astros, Chicagoans on the Northside are feeling the opposite.

The San Diego Padres offense jumped on Cubs pitching early once again, with Xander Bogaerts driving in his second run of the series with an RBI single in the second inning off of Kevin Gausman.

Despite the small sample size (10 games coming into this season), Bogaerts’ numbers have improved each postseason since he joined the San Diego Padres, and he was 4-for-8 with a home run in the two games against Chicago. Next up for San Diego is an NLDS matchup with the Milwaukee Brewers, who finished with the best record in all of baseball this season at 103-59 and boast the all-but-certain National League Cy Young winner in Jacob Misiorowski.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. While Bogaerts hasn’t produced the offense he did in his final seasons with the Boston Red Sox, he’s the kind of player who can take a team to a new level if he gets hot. With that being said, can you name the MLB’s active leaders in home runs?

Good luck!
