The 'MLB all-time K-leaders' quiz

One year after forcing extra-innings in Game 7 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Toronto Blue Jays are a disappointing 68-70 currently in last place in the American League East.

Despite the losing record, the Blue Jays sit just 1.5-games out of a Wild Card spot in the American League, thanks in part to a vintage Max Scherzer performance.

Scherzer struck out 10 Mariners in seven innings of one-hit, zero-run ball on Sunday to not only get his first win since April but  also pass Gaylord Perry to take sole possession on ninth-place on MLB’s all-time strikeout list.

While the Jays haven’t been inspiring this season, if they are able to sneak into the postseason, seeing the combination of Cy Young-candidate Dylan Cease and possibly the experience of Max Scherzer in a series is a task many teams wouldn’t envy.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the 36 pitchers in MLB’s Live-Ball Era (since 1920) to strikeout at least 2,500 batters in their career can you name in five minutes?

Good luck!
