Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski took the league by storm as a rookie in 2025, making the National League All-Star team in the regular season and impressing in the playoffs before running into the juggernaut Los Angeles Dodgers.
But taking over as the Opening Day starter for the now-Met Freddy Peralta, he set a Brewers record with 10 strikeouts in a 14-2 win over the Chicago White Sox. According to Sarah Langs, Misiorowski (23 years, 257 days) became the youngest pitcher with at least 10 strikeouts on Opening Day since Felix Hernandez struck out 12 in 2007.
Milwaukee is looking not only to win their fourth-straight National League Central title, but also get back to the World Series for the first time since 1982.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. How many of the pitchers to strikeout the most batters on Opening Day for each MLB franchise can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
