The 'Most wins in the MLB playoffs' quiz

Happy 48th birthday to one-time MLB All-Star, 2007 American League ERA champion and three-time World Series champion, John Lackey!

Lackey made his MLB debut with the Angels in 2002, and he spent the first eight years of his career in Anaheim. He made 18 starts that regular season before making three starts (and five total appearances) in the Angels' run to their only World Series title. He went 2-0 that October, posting a 2.42 ERA in 22 1/3 innings, striking out 17.

In 2007 he earned his lone All-Star selection and finished the season with an AL-best 3.01 ERA.

He joined the Boston Red Sox in 2010 and was a staple of their rotation until 2014, winning his second World Series in 2013. After a short stint with the Cardinals, Lackey finished his career with the Chicago Cubs and helped them end the famous “Curse of the Billy Goat” by winning the third and final World Series of his career in 2016 and ending the Cubs 108-year World Series championship drought.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. While Lackey doesn’t have Hall of Fame numbers, he’ll always be remembered by the franchises he helped bring to glory. With that being said, can you name the pitchers to record the most wins in MLB Playoff history?

Good luck!
