The 'National League Cy Young winners' quiz

Paul Skenes has been connected to trade rumors pretty much since making his debut as a Pittsburgh Pirate, and even the day he won his first-career Cy Young Award was not immune to rumors.

A report surfaced – that he has since brushed off – that he said he’d love to play for the Yankees amidst the perpetual struggles around him in Pittsburgh. While he may not have said he wants to play for the Yankees, they’d be silly not to want him.

After making his debut on May 11, 2024, he made 23 starts and posted a 1.96 ERA. In his first full season in 2025, he made nine more starts with an MLB-best 1.97 ERA, 216 strikeouts and just 42 walks in 187.2 innings.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Skenes has accomplished as much individually as you really can in his two years in the major leagues with a Cy Young Award and ERA title joining his Rookie of the Year trophy from last season. With that being said, can you name every pitcher to win the Cy Young Award in the National League?

Good luck!
