The 'NLCS MVPs' quiz

After turning a 3-0 deficit into a 9-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners in Game 4 of the ALDS, the Detroit Tigers will head to the Pacific Northwest for a win-or-go-home Game 5. One major reason for the Tigers staving off elimination was a four-RBI game from veteran Javier Baez.

Baez hasn’t been the player the Tigers hoped he’d be for most of his tenure, but has had a bit of a career renaissance in 2025. His .257 average was his highest since 2021 when he spent time with the Cubs and Mets while his 12 home runs were his most since 2022. He’s continued producing in the postseason, hitting .346 with a homer and five RBI in seven games so far.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Baez has a history of living up to the postseason moment, winning NLCS MVP in the Chicago Cubs’ curse-breaking 2016 World Series title run. With that being said, can you name every player to be named NLCS MVP?

Good luck!
