The Los Angeles Dodgers turned to Shohei Ohtani in Game 4 of the NLCS for a chance to sweep the Milwaukee Brewers and return to the World Series.
Ohtani rewarded the Dodgers with perhaps the single best game ever seen. As a pitcher, Ohtani tossed six shutout innings while striking out 10. As a hitter he cracked three solo home runs – one that travelled 469 feet – to get the Dodgers within four wins of a second-consecutive championship.
Ohtani has been a singular player in MLB history since joining the Los Angeles Angels in 2018, but didn’t get to showcase his arm for the Dodgers until this season. With two strong performances on the mound this postseason, the winner of Toronto and Seattle’s Game 7 in the ALCS will face a tall task in the Fall Classic.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Ohtani recorded just the 13th three-homer game in MLB playoff history. How many of the players in that elite class can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
