The 'World Series managers' quiz

The 2026 World Series begins on Friday, and when the best-of-7 contest is done, Major League Baseball will have a first-time champion. 

The clash features the teams who finished the regular season with the best records in their respective leagues, with the Tampa Bay Rays representing the American League and the Milwaukee Brewers representing the National League. 

While Rays manager Kevin Cash has reached the World Series before – losing to the Dodgers in 2020 – Pat Murphy is making his Fall Classic debut after shepherding the Brewers to their first appearance since 1982 when they were members of the AL East. 

Murphy and the Brewers finished with 103 wins in 2026, the most in Major League Baseball, and swept the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, while Cash led his Rays to a third AL East title in his 12 years at the helm.
