The 'Youngest 45-HR MLB seasons' quiz

When the Milwaukee Brewers took a 3-2 lead in the 12th inning of Game 4 in the World Series, it looked like the Tampa Bay Rays might be done.

But down 3-0 in the series and down to their final three outs, Tampa’s star slugger Junior Caminero was able to get on base via a throwing error from Joey Ortiz. Despite limping after the play, he was able to move from first to third on a single from Liam Hicks before getting pinch run for by Cedric Mullins.

While he wasn’t on the field for the game-tying and walk-off singles from Jonny DeLuca and Ben Williamson, manager Kevin Cash said Caminero should be available for the Rays next elimination game on Wednesday night.

“If my foot is broken, I’ll play tomorrow,” Caminero, who played in all 162 regular season games this year, said after the extra-inning victory to keep Tampa’s season alive.

“He’ll play tomorrow on one leg. I’ll make sure of it,” Cash added.

If the Rays are going to have any hope of becoming the first team to pull off a reverse sweep in the World Series, they’re going to need every player who got them there.

Which brings us to today’s quiz. Despite hitting just one home run this postseason, Caminero has combined for 87 dingers over the last two seasons. With that being said, can you name the youngest players to hit 45 homers in an MLB season?

Good luck!
