RENO – Tommy Henry will now seek a second opinion on his injured elbow after being placed on the IL in Triple-A Reno, as the Diamondbacks’ injury concerns continue.

One of the more young and promising pitchers in the Diamondbacks system will unfortunately now go through the process of figuring out the next steps with his injury. Tommy Henry already had imaging done on his elbow, though is receiving another opinion on his injury. Henry wasn’t having a strong start to the 2025 season, as Henry had a 2-6 record with an 8.45 ERA in 11 starts.

D-Backs Manager Torey Lovullo mentioned that this injury is concerning just like it was with Corbin Burnes, Justin Martinez, and A.J. Puk (Credit: Alex D’Agostino | Sports Illustrated). Henry has had a list of lingering issues from the past, dating back to 2023 when he missed the last two months of the season. Arizona has had multiple injuries this season to their pitching staff, and it’s just another punch the Snakes will have to roll with.

This will be a massive test going forward for the D-Backs, as their pitching depth will be tested. Arizona now heads to Toronto for a three-game series against the Blue Jays starting tomorrow afternoon.
