After months of speculation, the Roki Sasaki sweepstakes have come to an end.

Sasaki was being linked to a plethora of teams at the start of the MLB offseason before narrowing down his list to the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and Toronto Blue Jays. It was then reported on Friday morning that San Diego fell out of the race. Once that news came across every MLB fan's timeline, they all assumed that he'd take his talents to Los Angeles.

Well, those fans were right.

Moments ago, Sasaki shared a photo of a Dodgers hat on his Instagram account along with a message regarding his decision.

"I have signed a minor contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers," Sasaki wrote, via Instagram's translation. "It was a very difficult decision, but I will do my best to make it the right decision when I look back after my baseball career. I want to slip my sleeve on the Dodgers uniform at the opening conference, thanking everyone who has supported me this far."

Sasaki will join an absolutely loaded roster in Los Angeles that features the likes of Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman and Yoshinobu Yamamoto among others.

Sasaki, 23, didn't have a large bidding war for his services because he's under the international amateur rules. Although he had to sign at the league minimum, he could receive a nice signing bonus.

More importantly for Sasaki, he could earn himself a World Series ring next season if he plays up to his potential.
