The Toronto Blue Jays are the hottest team in Major League Baseball. They kept it going with an 11-4 win over the Detroit Tigers on Thursday. That was Toronto’s 17th win in 21 games as they have rocketed up the standings in the American League. Can the Toronto Blue Jays keep it going this summer?

Toronto Blue Jays Season Summary

Toronto’s great play over the last few weeks has given them the best record in the American League. The Blue Jays have had a strong offense in 2025. They are leading the league in batting average , 18th in home runs, and eighth in runs scored. Catcher Alejandro Kirk is seventh in batting average. Outside of Kirk, it has been a committee-like approach on offense.

Toronto’s pitching staff has been mediocre. They are 20th in team ERA, 12th in opposing batting average, and 12th in WHIP. Starting Pitcher Chris Bassitt is second in wins. Jeff Hoffman is fourth in the league in saves. The Blue Jays’ pitching staff must keep up with its offense for the team to reach its full potential.

Final Thoughts

The Toronto Blue Jays will look to keep playing well this weekend against the Detroit Tigers. If Toronto can keep it going, no team will want to face them this summer.
