Toronto lost last night in extra innings to the Rays. The Blue Jays, behind a five-run seventh inning, tied the Rays. They got an RBI double from Jesus Sanchez, an RBI infield single by George Springer, a two-RBI double by Yohendrick Pinango, who also scored on an error to tie the game. The game went to extras, where the Rays added two runs in the top half of the inning. Toronto made it a one-run game on a sacrifice fly, but that would be it. Patrick Corbin got the start, going 4.1 innings, allowing three runs on nine hits. He walked one and struck out one. The bullpen combined to go 5.2 innings, allowing four runs, three earned on four hits. They walked five and struck out seven.
Yohendrick Pinango replaced Myles Straw and went 1-3 with two RBI and a run scored to help Toronto tie the game in the seventh innings.
