The Toronto Blue Jays just announced that they have signed free agent and former St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Kloffenstein.
The Blue Jays made it clear after they signed Anthony Santander that they were not done making moves just yet, and even though fans are hoping for bigger names, this looks to be a solid signing.
The Blue Jays have agreed to a minor league deal with one of their former pitchers and recent St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Kloffenstein as he has also received a spring training invite.
Kloffenstein made his major league debut last season with the Cardinals in which he only pitched one inning, gave up no runs and finished the season with a 0.00 ERA.
The right-handed pitcher was actually drafted by the Blue Jays in third round of the 2018 MLB draft but was traded to the Cardinals in 2023 as part of the deal that brought Jordan Hicks to Toronto.
This could end up being a solid move for the Blue Jays bullpen, especially if injuries start to pile up as they did last season.
