Toronto Blue Jays Starting Pitcher Kevin Gausman had his best stuff this afternoon on the road against the Cleveland Guardians. He surrendered two hits over eight scoreless innings while punching out six. His performance helped the Blue Jays prevail 6-0. This was an important start for Gausman. He had a horrendous 7.65 ERA in June. It has been a middling 2025 season for the veteran starting pitcher. He is 6-6 with a 4.21 ERA this season. Will Thursday’s start help the starting pitcher get back on track?

Gausman debuted with the Baltimore Orioles in 2013. His career has included stints with the Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, San Francisco Giants, and Toronto Blue Jays. The best three seasons in the veteran’s career came between 2021-2023. During that time he made his lone two All-Star appearances and finished top 10 in Cy Young voting all three seasons.
Gausman’s next scheduled start will be on July 1 at home against the New York Yankees. He faced New York earlier this season and fared miserably. He surrendered six earned runs over 2.2 innings of the work. The veteran starting pitcher will look to build upon a great start as he looks to salvage the season.
