Amid the drama surrounding Boston Red Sox Rafael Devers's refusal to move off third base, some Red Sox fans have called for the superstar to be a team player and take up the DH spot to make room for the newly signed Alex Bregman. Despite the criticism of some fans and the media surrounding Devers, Triston Casas, and his teammates have his back.

On Tuesday, Red Sox first baseman and teammate Triston Casas sent a vote of confidence to Devers, calling him the best third baseman in the league and expressing that he wouldn't want anyone else to cover the position.

Casas continued, emphasizing that Devers has been there long and that his defense has improved with each passing season. When asked about his vision for the rest of the Red Sox infield, Casas saw Bregman shifting into second, with Story playing "an awesome shortstop."

While these comments are evidence of a strong Red Sox clubhouse culture, they also highlight Casas' maturity and leadership qualities. At just 25, Casas already looks like a clubhouse leader, and given his production, it is understandable that he is a massive part of Boston's present and future.

It is good to see that the rumors and drama surrounding Devers have not fazed the Red Sox clubhouse. And for Red Sox fans, it will be interesting to see how manager Alex Cora aligns his infield for 2025, as there seems to be a disconnect between the vision of the Red Sox brass and players.

Regardless of where Devers ends up, Casas' comments powerfully convey the Red Sox's strong sense of comradery. And after a strong offseason from Craig Breslow and the Red Sox front office, the sky is the limit heading into 2025.
