Twins' Double-A team lists stadium for Airbnb rental

The Minor League Baseball season has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn't mean teams are completely closing off their stadiums.

In an attempt to make a little cash this season despite no games being played, the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, are giving fans the opportunity to spend a night at the teams' stadium via an Airbnb rental.

What'll it cost you? Well, it'll set you back $1,500 per night...but there are some sweet perks despite the high price. Whoever rents the stadium will have access to a newly renovated clubhouse, batting cage and field with bats, balls and helmets provided. As for the bedroom, it has 10 beds...so bring along your best buddies.

If the cost is split 10 ways, it'll come to $150 per person for one night... not bad when you look at it that way.

Here's a description of the experience via the Airbnb website:

"Welcome to the ULTIMATE baseball experience!

For the first time ever, a professional baseball stadium is available for rent on AirBnB, giving fans the most intimate, behind-the-scenes ballpark experience in history. Whether you'd like to host an unforgettable overnight trip with your youth league team, throw an unbeatable birthday bash, stage a corporate retreat that will make you an office hero, or spend your bachelor party living your sports dream, Blue Wahoos Stadium is the ultimate rental."

Renting out the Blue Wahoos stadium isn't the only thing MiLB teams have done to offer unusual experiences. The Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, are hosting drive-in fireworks over Memorial Day weekend, and the Daytona Tortugas, Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, hosted a social-distancing movie night at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
