Following a somewhat worrying July, Bryce Harper is posting a spectacular August. The Philadelphia Phillies superstar is batting .310 with a mind-boggling .518 on-base percentage, .517 slugging percentage and 1.035 OPS in 18 games this month. No. 3 is already a household name who will enter the Hall of Fame five years after he retires, but his offensive revival and the Phillies’ recent surge is widening the spotlight. What a perfect time to drop a new cleat.
Under Armour is releasing the Harper 11 Camo on Friday, as noted by Joey Mistretta of ClutchPoints. “It is inspired by Harper’s camo tunnel-fits as well as his support for the University of Tennessee,” CP’s lead MLB editor and reporter posted on X. Fans can order the new athletic footwear on UA’s website.

MLB has long received criticism for how it markets its top guys, but Harper has always done a nice job of promoting himself. Landing the cover of Sports Illustrated at just 16 years of age tends to help one’s brand, and growing up in Las Vegas is bound to cultivate a natural flair for showmanship. Hype and charisma alone can only take an athlete so far, however.
The two-time MVP has maintained his prominent national standing via consistently superb production. Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski wondered aloud if Harper could reclaim elite status after his numbers dropped last season, and while the left-handed slugger may not be considered among the top-five players in the NL anymore, he is still punishing baseballs at an impressive rate.
Bryce Harper, who reaffirmed his relationship with Under Armour in January, is slashing .260/.381/.492/.873 with 25 home runs, 72 RBIs and 23 doubles in 546 plate appearances. Those stats ought to help his new cleat stand out quite nicely. A Philly World Series run would probably be good for business, too.
