Oakland A's fans are fighting for their team, and they did their best to pack the Oakland Coliseum with one of its biggest crowds of the season on Tuesday night to show they still care.
They called it a reverse boycott, and they opened the night with a very strong message to team owner John Fisher.
Sell the team.
"Sell the team" signs have been noticeable all season throughout the stadium, and on Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Rays, they were even more emphatic with the message.

Along with that, there was also a "Stay in Oakland" chant that broke out.

The A's are inching toward a relocation to Las Vegas, a potential move that became even closer to a reality on Tuesday when the Nevada senate passed a bill that would secure more than $380 million in public funding for a new stadium. Will any of this matter? Almost certainly not. It is a bottom-line business and money talks. Fisher wants a new stadium and now has a city that seems willing to give it to him. But credit to the A's fans for not going away without a fight.
They deserve better than this.
They deserve better than this result, they deserve a better team and they deserve an owner who actually cares about giving them a good product to support.
