Watch: Diamondbacks' Evan Longoria makes incredible double play

There is arguably no greater danger in the sport of baseball than bases loaded and no outs. It is every pitcher's worst nightmare.

Under these circumstances, teams score at least one run 86% of the time per The Hardball Times.

Up 4-3, it was nearly turned into the Diamondback's worst nightmare until soon-to-be 38-year-old third basemen Evan Longoria made an incredible play.

As you can see, in the bottom of the fifth inning of NL wild-card Game 1, with the bases loaded, Brewers outfielder Tyrone Taylor lined a ball to Evan Longoria, who made a miraculous catch before throwing to second and doubling off shortstop Willy Adames.

Longoria's contributions have been felt for this young team and on his very next at-bat, he hit a single.
