Florida State junior outfielder James Tibbs III was selected 13th overall by the San Francisco Giants in the 2024 MLB Draft. It is unsurprising that Tibbs is considered one of the best hitters in the draft. The 2024 ACC Player of the Year was the ACC regular season home runs and RBI leader, and he finished the year with 28 home runs, 95 RBI, with a .777 slugging percentage and a .363 batting average. The left-handed hitter has also lowered his strikeout and walk rates each year. While only an average fielder, his talents at the plate will keep him in the lineup as he rises through the Giants' organizations. To see what San Francisco fans can expect from him in the big leagues in a few seasons.
