Watch: Mets test out new gigantic scoreboard by playing iconic video game

The Super Mario Bros. Movie hits United States theaters on April 5. Earlier this week, workers at Citi Field -- home of the New York Mets -- got in the spirit by testing out some new stadium equipment with the iconic "Mario Kart 64" video game.

The gigantic addition has been described as a "state-of-the-art 4K LED" scoreboard and will certainly get fans' attention.

On Tuesday, the Mets and Cadillac also announced the addition of their new "Cadillac Club," a 100-seat, member-only speakeasy at the stadium located behind the right field fence. The club at Payson's Speakeasy was created in honor of the Mets' original owner, Joan Payson.

Per Mike Puma and Noah Concordia of the New York Post, first-row seats at the club are $24,999 (though they are not currently on sale) and third- and fourth-row seats go for $19,000 per seat.

The Mets open up their 2023 regular season with seven straight road games, before having their home-opener the day after the movie release on April 6, against the Miami Marlins. When fans in Queens see the calendar finally turn to that day, they'll surely be saying "let's-a go!"
