San Francisco Giants designated hitter Rafael Devers is still tormenting the Boston Red Sox.
During the second game of a three-game series against his former team on Saturday, Devers hit his first home run since being traded to the Giants, drilling a two-run blast off Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello to give San Francisco a 3-0 lead.
The ball traveled 370 feet to left field and left Devers' bat with a 105.5 mph exit velocity.

Devers' relationship with the Red Sox quickly soured this offseason after the team signed third baseman Alex Bregman in free agency. He initially spoke out against Boston's plans to move him from third base to designated hitter, where he played from 2017-24.
He eventually acquiesced to the front office's demand but wouldn't budge when later asked to move to first base after Triston Casas suffered a season-ending left knee injury.
However, once acquired by the Giants, Devers told reporters he'd play wherever asked, including first base. When asked what changed, Devers said, "If they had asked me at the beginning of spring training, yes, I would have."
Reporter: "For a Red Sox fan who might say 'why wouldn't he play first base for us but he'll play first base for the Giants,' what would you say?"

Devers took another shot at his former team on Friday when asked how long it had been since he was as happy as he has been with his move to the Giants.
"It's been a long time," Devers revealed. "Yes, I feel happy. I feel relaxed now," Devers said, via an interpreter. (h/t NBC Sports Bay Area)

With his words first and his home run second, Devers is burning his bridge to Boston. Now that he's no longer on the Red Sox, Devers is having no problem making them his enemy.
