The Reds' 2024 first-round draft pick, Chase Burns, turned in another phenomenal pitching performance on Saturday.

In the first game of the doubleheader, Burns tossed a complete-game shutout. The right-hander struck out six and allowed just three hits in seven scoreless innings.

Burns lowered his ERA to 1.29, and he has yet to allow more than one earned run in Double-A with the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Reds President of Baseball Operations Nick Krall said they aren't quite ready to promote Burns yet.

“It’s not something where we’re ready to go," Krall told MLB.com's Mark Sheldon. "It just depends on how his progression goes. Obviously, there’s some things to work on, some speedbumps. But he’s pitched really well overall.”
