Watch: Sasquatch wanders Royals' stadium every time Vinnie Pasquantino is on base

The Kansas City Royals have started one of the most bizarre traditions in recent MLB history at each of their home games this season.

Vinnie Pasquantino is one of the Royals many young and exciting talents on this season's rebuilding team. The power-hitting first baseman was the No. 3 prospect in the organization going into 2022 before making his big-league debut in late June.

Pasquantino recorded 10 home runs, 10 doubles, 26 RBI and 35 walks as a rookie while striking out just 34 times and posting a .295/.383/.450 slash line in 258 at-bats over 72 games. He's off to a slow start in 2023, opening just 2-for-16.

While Kansas City hasn't made the playoffs since their 2015 World Series title (and aren't expected to make it this year), the Royals are at least doing their best to keep fans entertained at Kauffman Stadium. If those in the crowd missed the famous hairy creature over the first four games of the 2023 campaign, they'll get a few more chances this week as the Royals continue their four-game home series against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Kansas City (1-3) hosts Toronto (1-3) at 7:40 p.m. ET on Tuesday and Wednesday, before concluding the set at 2:10 p.m. ET on Thursday. The Royals will then go on a six-game road trip to face the San Francisco Giants (2-2) and Texas Rangers (3-1).
