Watch: Tigers' Riley Greene homers twice in one inning

The Detroit Tigers and Los Angeles Angels were all tied at one apiece headed into the top of the ninth. The Angels ran out their closer, Kenley Jansen, to try and keep the game tied headed to the bottom of the ninth.

Jansen was rudely greeted by Tigers outfielder Riley Greene, who homered on the third pitch of the inning to give Detroit a 2-1 lead.

Detroit piled more runs on after Greene's home run, and the lineup eventually got back around to him with two outs.

One home run wasn't enough for him, so he decided to put the dagger in the Angels for good.

Greene launched his second home run of the inning to extend the Tigers' lead to 9-1. Greene now joins the Angels' Jo Adell as the only two players to accomplish such a feat in 2025.

Greene is the first Tigers player to homer twice in one inning since Magglio Ordonez did it August 12, 2007, and the third ever, as Al Kaline did it in April of 1955.

He is now the 62nd player in MLB history to accomplish the feat and the first to ever do it in the ninth inning of a game.
