Venezuela and the Dominican Republic will face each other in the final of the 2024 Caribbean Series Baseball. Both teams advanced in the semifinals and aim to end the tournament with the trophy in their hands.

The Tiburones de La Guaira secured a 6-2 victory against the Curaçao Suns in the semifinal playoff. Venezuela ended the round-robin stage in the first spot, with a record of 5-1. The Tiburones are looking to obtain its first Caribbean Series and the eighth for the Venezuelan country.

On the other side, the Tigres del Licey will aim to secure the back-to-back championship. The reigning champions beat the Federales de Chiriquí of Panama in the semifinals, by a score of 4-1.

The Dominican Republic is the country that has won the most trophies in the Caribbean Series with 23 titles. The Tigres del Licey, on their part, seek to win the tournament for the twelfth time.

About the 2024 Caribbean Series Baseball

The first phase of the Series is a round-robin format among the seven teams, with the top four advancing to the double-header semifinal on February 8th. Then, the final and the third-place match will be contested.

For the first time in Caribbean Series history, the tournament of Latin American and Caribbean winter league champions will be played at a Major League stadium, LoanDepot Park in Miami.
