Who Is Andrew Abbot’s Fiancée, Lindsay Stone? Meet The TV News Anchor In Cincinnati

Life’s moving pretty fast for Andrew Abbott right now. The Cincinnati Reds left-hander is putting together another solid MLB season, but off-field, he’s entering an even bigger chapter. Abbott officially proposed to longtime girlfriend Lindsay Stone in May 2026, and the couple made it Insta official with a celebratory post shared on May 22 from The Lytle Park Hotel, Autograph Collection.

The relationship had already caught attention around Cincinnati’s sports scene over the last year. Andrew Abbott and Stone publicly came together during the 2025 MLB All-Star Game red carpet. Since then, Stone’s regularly appeared alongside the Reds pitcher at community events, including the 2026 Reds Hall of Fame Induction Gala and Joe Nuxhall Miracle League appearances.

So, who exactly is Lindsay Stone? Andrew Abbott’s fiancée is a well-known broadcast journalist and former weekend co-anchor for WLWT News 5 in Cincinnati. Raised in Monroe, Ohio, Stone originally planned to pursue human rights law before discovering sports media while attending The Ohio State University. She later transferred to Anderson University, earned degrees in broadcast journalism and international relations, and even launched a student sports platform called Raven Watch.

Stone’s TV career took off with stops at WNDU-TV in South Bend and WTTV/WXIN in Indianapolis before she joined WLWT in May 2023. Having covered the Queen City for three years, she officially signed off from the station on May 24, 2026. Meanwhile, Andrew Abbott’s own journey, from Virginia standout swimmer to Reds rotation arm, continues to trend upward both on and off the mound.

Andrew Abbott’s Fiancée Remains Connected to Cincinnati Sports Scene

Lindsay Stone’s run at WLWT-TV is coming to an end. The weekend anchor and reporter confirmed she’ll leave the Cincinnati station when her contract expires on May 24, 2026, per a May 14 report from 91.7 WVXU’s John Kiesewetter.

Stone called working in her hometown a “dream” and thanked the Cincinnati community for trusting her with their stories over the last three years. She also teased that a “new season” with fresh opportunities is already ahead.

The Butler County native joined WLWT in 2023 after previous stops in South Bend and Indianapolis. Outside the newsroom, Stone has also been in the spotlight alongside Reds pitcher Andrew Abbott at several recent Cincinnati sports events.
