Jac Caglianone’s rise in MLB has come with plenty of attention, but off-field, there’s a steady presence who’s been part of the journey long before the big-league buzz. Elli McKissock – an athlete, competitor, and now, the fiancée of the Kansas City Royals slugger. Their story is built on shared grind, college roots, and elite-level sports DNA.
Both carved their names at the University of Florida, and that connection stuck. Fast forward to June 2025, when Jac Caglianone made his MLB debut with the Royals, McKissock was right there, backing him like always, as reported by the Kansas City Star. She’s not just in the stands for the moments, but has been part of the climb.
So who exactly is Elli McKissock beyond the headlines? She’s a pro libero currently suiting up for the Atlanta Vibe in the Pro Volleyball Federation for the 2025/26 season, per Major League Volleyball. The couple reportedly got engaged in December 2023, and Jac Caglianone made it official on IG:
“I can’t wait to marry you. Forever can’t come soon enough!”
McKissock began her pro run with the Orlando Valkyries before signing with Atlanta in August 2025.
Through the Florida Gators program, McKissock owned the libero spot for five straight seasons from 2020 to 2024. By the time she wrapped up, she’d stacked a resume that screams consistency, durability, and elite defense, per Major League Volleyball.
She left Gainesville as the program’s all-time leader in digs (2,147) and sets played (534). The accolades followed: SEC All-Second Team in 2024, a Team USA Collegiate National Training Team nod in 2022, and SEC All-Freshman honors in 2020.
Off the court, the athletic roots run deep. She’s from Windermere, Florida, with sister Matti shining at Georgia Tech and UCLA, while her dad Matthew played at The Citadel. McKissock also graduated in Spring 2024 with a degree in telecommunications.
