New York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez recently suffered a concussion and shoulder injury after crashing into the outfield fence during a game. It was a frightening moment for Dominguez to say the least. On Wednesday, manager Aaron Boone shared an update on Dominguez’s injury situation.
“Jasson Domínguez had a PRP shot in his left shoulder, Aaron Boone said. He remains clear of concussion symptoms. Boone said it will still probably be a few weeks before he returns to play,” Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reported.
Dominguez, 23, appeared in only nine MLB games in 2026 before suffering the injuries. He was hitting .200 to go along with one home run in 32 plate appearances.
The Yankees believe he can become a star down the road. Dominguez features potential without question. Returning from injury is his goal at the moment, however. It seems as if he will miss a few more weeks before returning, though.
The Yankees will continue to monitor and provide updates on Jasson Dominguez’s injury status as they are made available.
Overall, New York has performed well for the most part in 2026. The Yankees have been mediocre in recent action, however. They are just 5-5 over their past 10 games heading into Wednesday’s contest against the Orioles in Baltimore. New York is two games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for first place in the American League East standings at the moment.
The Yankees and Orioles series is currently tied 1-1 heading into Wednesday’s matchup. The ball game on Wednesday afternoon is scheduled for 1:05 PM EST in Baltimore.
