Yankees’ Aaron Boone shares latest Giancarlo Stanton injury update

The New York Yankees have played solid baseball this season, despite some of the injuries that they’ve dealt with. One of those injuries was to Giancarlo Stanton, who has been out since April after dealing with a right calf strain. He’s still on the injured list, but the good news is that he’s making progress on his return, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com

“Giancarlo Stanton jogged in the outfield yesterday and has ‘started the introduction to some bases,’ Aaron Boone said. ‘I expect him back here at some point. He’ll be in there when the time’s right,'” Hoch wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

If Stanton can make his way back to the field in the coming weeks, the Yankees would be in good shape as the postseason nears. For now, they’re doing well with what they have, which proves that they have good depth in the clubhouse.

The Yankees are still waiting for Aaron Judge to return from his rib injury, and there is uncertainty about when he’ll be back on the field. Judge recently gave an update on his return, and he doesn’t even know when he’s coming back. The good news is that he knows he’s playing again.

“Oh, I’ll be back this season. I don’t know why I wouldn’t be. That was always the plan to come back — sooner than later, definitely — but I never had a thought of not playing this year,” Judge said.

If the Yankees can get Judge and Stanton back before the season ends, many would say that’s the best case scenario.
