Mike Tomlin reveals whether he wants to coach again

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Mike Tomlin finally moved on from one another after the season.

The breakup seemed long overdue, given that the team was aging and regressing, the front office didn't embrace a rebuild, and the fan base was starting to lose its patience with their once-beloved head coach.

Tomlin wasn't unemployed for long, however. He joined the "Football Night in America" crew and already made his debut during the Hall of Fame Game.

There, the former Super Bowl champion admitted that he still hasn't had the itch to return to the sidelines.

“I haven’t thought a whole lot about it yet, because I don’t feel like I’m missing anything yet,” Tomlin said, per NBC Sports. “You know, when those regular-season balls start snapping, that’s when I’ll start, you know, getting a little twitch a little bit.”

Tomlin's résumé is impressive. He didn't have a single losing season in 19 years as a head coach, and he has a Super Bowl ring under his belt.

However, not losing might not be enough for a historic franchise like the Steelers, and it's been almost a decade since the franchise's last postseason win.

Even so, Tomlin will definitely be near the top of the candidate list if he ever decides to coach again.

He's a player's coach with a flawless defensive reputation and a knack for winning games he was supposed to lose, though his offenses often left plenty to be desired.

Whatever the case, it looks like he's in no rush to get back.
