New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge has a lot of titles. He is the captain and a two-time Most Valuable Player. And now, he's "dad." Judge and his wife, Samantha, announced the birth of their first child on Instagram. Nora Rose Judge arrived on Jan. 27.

"What an incredible week it's been, can't wait for the memories the three of us make," Judge wrote under a black-and-white picture of two adorable baby feet.

Among the first congratulations on the post was another AL MVP, Los Angeles Angels slugger Mike Trout. Judge's Yankees teammate, Austin Wells also commented.

Page Six exclusively reported in December that the high school sweethearts were expecting a daughter. The longtime couple met at Linden High School in California and attended Fresno State together.

He did not travel to New York City last month to pick up his second Most Valuable Player trophy because he was expecting his first child any day.

"I'm truly humbled to be accepting the 2024 MVP award. I want to start by apologizing for missing the award there this evening. However, my wife, Samantha, and I are expecting our first child any day, and unfortunately, could not make it," Judge said in a recorded video played at the dinner.

This is another motivation for Judge, who is coming off a disappointing postseason.

Although he led the league with 58 homers in the regular season last year and got the Yankees back to the World Series for the first time since 2009, Judge struggled in the playoffs.

He hit just .184/.344/.408 with three home runs, a .752 OPS, 20 strikeouts, and 11 walks over 14 playoff games.

Judge will get to spend a few weeks at home with his new daughter before returning to work. The Yankees' first full-squad spring training workout is scheduled for Feb. 20.
