Yankees give banned fans' World Series tickets to pediatric cancer patient

The New York Yankees found a way to turn a bad situation into a good effort.

Per multiple reporters, the club decided to give tickets to Wednesday's Game 5 to a 15-year-old cancer patient and his family. Those tickets were handed over by two fans ejected and subsequently banned by MLB for interfering during Tuesday's Game 4.

The organization picked Calvin Young to receive Wednesday's tickets because he got sick and had to be taken to the hospital on Sept. 13 when he was supposed to take part in a "Kids Only" news conference at Yankee Stadium.

The fans who had their tickets revoked in order for Young to be able to attend physically interfered with Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts on a foul ball caught for an out in Game 4.

The two fans were clearly seen grasping Betts' hands and opening his glove to free the ball he had just caught.
