The New York Yankees will look to continue their hot start to their 2025 season as they host the Los Angeles Angels in a four-game series that starts on Monday night.

New York will try to bounce back after being swept by their AL East rival, the Boston Red Sox, in three games over the weekend.

In the series finale on Sunday, the Yankees failed to put up any runs, resulting in New York's ace, Max Fried, tallying his second loss of the season.

As they travel back to Yankee Stadium, New York provided some groundbreaking news on slugger Giancarlo Stanton.

After missing the Yankees' first 70 games due to tendinitis in both of his elbows, an injury he's been dealing with since March, it's been announced that he will be making his season debut tonight.

Stanton has been on of the premier power hitters in baseball since his debut in 2010. He's been with the Yankees since 2018 and is owed $32 million in 2025, making his absence a costly one for New York.

Injuries have been a big problem for Stanton since joining the Yankees, spending time on the injured list in seven of the eight seasons he's been in New York.

Although missed time has been a problem, his presence in the lineup when healthy gives a strong one-two punch with Aaron Judge.

In 663 games played for the Yankees, Stanton has a .241 BA, .323 OBP, .483 SLG, and a .806 OPS while hitting 162 home runs and 431 RBI.

New York will look to shake off their three-game losing streak in their series opener against the Angels on Monday night
