Yankees reportedly 'feeling more confident' about re-signing Aaron Judge

The New York Yankees seem more optimistic about keeping slugger Aaron Judge now that November is here.

"The Yankees are feeling more confident this week," Jon Heyman of the New York Post wrote about the Bronx Bombers possibly keeping Judge. "One reason I’d guess he will stay is that he shows great loyalty sticking with his longtime, very small-time agent.

Heyman mentioned the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers as potential destinations for the Linden, California, native and said the 30-year-old could put pen to paper on a nine-year contract worth $330 million. That's a far cry from predictions of $500 million over 10 years regarding upcoming negotiations.

It was just last week when Heyman reported that "there appears to be some real concern within the Yankees' ranks about their chances to keep Judge."

Since that time, outfielder Harrison Bader made it known he's worried Judge could leave the Yankees to sign a massive deal elsewhere, and returning manager Aaron Boone left much to be desired in the eyes of concerned fans with comments he made during a Thursday appearance on ESPN New York's "The Michael Kay Show."

"Hopefully we get to the point where he’s back in pinstripes for his entire career like I believe it should be," Boone said about Judge at that time, per Bryan Hoch of the MLB website. "You never know where it’s going to end up. If that comes [and Judge leaves], you’ve got to be able to adapt and adjust and find other ways to get things done. We’ll see how it plays out, but, hopefully, it does work out between Aaron [and the Yankees]. He’s going to win MVP, and you couldn’t have a better person leading your organization from a player standpoint."

Boone also addressed Judge's status on Friday:

Judge rejected a seven-year, $213.5 million contract extension offer from the Yankees before Opening Day and is set to hit free agency after the World Series. General manager Brian Cashman touched upon the subject on Friday afternoon:
