The New York Yankees signed utility player Amed Rosario to a one-year contract for 2026, with The Athletic reporting the deal is worth $2.5 million.

Rosario, 30, joined the Yankees after a July trade from the Washington Nationals and batted .303 with one home run and five RBIs in 16 games.

After breaking in with the New York Mets in 2017, Rosario is a career .273 hitter with 69 home runs and 389 RBIs in 1,004 games with seven different clubs. On defense, Rosario has played at all but catcher and first base, even pitching one inning last season for the Nationals.
