Yankees vs. Brewers: The New York Yankees wind up their three-game series on the road against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday afternoon. The Yankees will look to avoid a sweep after going down 4-3 in extra innings to the Brewers on Saturday at American Family Field.
New York had a two-run lead through a solo homer from Paul Goldschmidt in the first inning and an RBI single in the fourth. Cam Schlittler notched 6.0 shutout innings with just two hits and six strikeouts. The Yankees even led in the 10th, but the bullpen just could not hold on.
Milwaukee started off poorly but came back with four runs in the last four frames. Kyle Harrison allowed two runs through 4.0 innings, with Chad Patrick posting three innings of shutdown relief. Willson Contreras came up with a bases-loaded sac fly to walk it off in the 10th inning.
