The Yankees vs. Royals Game 3 is all set to get underway at Kauffman Stadium. The Yanks are looking at a sweep after scoring 19 runs in the last two games. Game 2 was pure humiliation for the Royals as they lost 15-1.
The Royals are already one of the least favorite teams to make the 2026 playoffs. Kansas City is 11 games behind the .500 mark with its poor performance. Bobby Witt Jr. was the only player to score one run last night against the Yankees.
Here’s how to watch Wednesday night’s matchup:

Aaron Boone is eager to sweep the Royals, and he’s ready to send in his ace, Gerrit Cole. After returning from Tommy John surgery, Cole has already shown his dominance in his MLB debut. The pitcher threw six scoreless innings against the Rays, allowing no hits.
Cole is back to form and seems to be doing better than before. The righty has stepped in at the right moment, especially since Max Fried is sidelined due to a bone bruise.
The Royals will turn in Noah Cameron to the mound as their starter. Cameron has a terrible 4.72 ERA with a 2-3 record. The southpaw will need to step up his game against the Yankees’ powerful bats.
The Royals are not performing well this season. The team is ranked 23rd in ERA (4.39). When it comes to hitting, they are ranked 19th with a batting average of (.236). The playoffs already look like a faded dream for the team. However, they still have plenty of time to improve.
