Israel Adesanya has been spotted training at Freestyle MMA in Australia, fueling speculation he could land a new home gym after parting ways with longtime team City Kickboxing in July.

The move follows a rough stretch for Adesanya, who has dropped four straight fights since losing the middleweight title to Sean Strickland in 2023, including submission and TKO losses to Dricus du Plessis, Nassourdine Imavov and Joe Pyfer.

Freestyle MMA is home to featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, who's preparing to defend his title against Movsar Evloev in October, along with UFC lightweight fighter Mauricio Ruffy, who Adesanya was recently filmed training alongside. For now, Adesanya appears to be helping Volkanovski's camp, though the arrangement has raised talk of a permanent move.
