Adin Ross spent $1.5 million on bringing Brand Risk Promotions to Dana White’s Meta Apex

Adin Ross has admitted that he put $1.5 million into bringing his fight promotion from Miami to Las Vegas for their big show on Saturday night.

Dana White and Hunter Campbell not only rented out the UFC Apex to Ross for his event, but appeared to commentate on the main event. They didn’t have much work to do as Johnny Manziel made quick work of Bob Menery in a remarkably terrible one-round amateur MMA bout.

Ross usually runs Brand Risk Promotions from his warehouse in Miami, but made the move out to the fight capital with the help of White and Campbell. Even with their help, he still had to spend big money on making the event happen.

A key aspect of Adin Ross’ shows is that he mixes legitimate professional prospects who are working with friends or members of his management in with his more comical celebrity bouts. He attempted to go a step further with MMA on Saturday’s card, but the sport is not very fan-friendly at the beginner level.

He explained on a stream that while he enjoys having professionals to add to the cards, he would have preferred to keep their fights shorter. “I’m not here to give you guys pro and all that s—,” he explained while speaking on a post-show stream.

“You can get that on other shows. I want to give you entertainment and funny, fun fights. I want to obviously build AP and Bang [two professional prospects Anthony Proctor and Antonio Williams] but then it comes to just the casual side.

“Overall, I’m not going to downplay Brand Risk 14, that event was f—ing amazing, improvement in all ends. Great commentary, amazing guests, amazing venue, amazing one-off thing. Bro, it cost over $1.5 million all in. It was our most expensive card and it showed.”
