The heavyweight G.O.A.T Jon Jones recently returned to Jackson’s MMA Acoma gym after recuperating from a pectoral tear. After a long campaign to get the undisputed title shot, Tom Aspinall finally called quits on his unification efforts. However, ‘Bones’ isn’t forgiving or forgetting any soon.

Light heavyweight sensation Alex Pereira , 10-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC, KO’ed Jamahal Hill at UFC 300 and aspired to rise to 265. He and Jon Jones have engaged in passive admiration of each other. Jones (27-1 MMA, 21-1 UFC) also remains steadfast in saying that Stipe Miocic is the way to go for a slated fight. Yet again, Jones has pushed aside Aspinall. He has deliberated the situation with fans in a series of X posts starting Thursday.
His continued rant thus now sees Aspinall catch a stray yet again. He already thinks Aspinall’s interim status is that of a mere title contender to his G.O.A.T status. A fan account prompted him to vacate the belt until recovery judicially. Now, he says the Englishman shouldn’t have “judicially” butted in his legacy clash in the first place.
Jon Jones plans to make a documentary on his return
Jon Jones put the heavyweight division on hold when he suffered a pectoral tear just before UFC 295 Fight Week swooped in. Tom Aspinall fought for the interim title in his absence and has pleaded for the chance at a unification. The lengthy social media tirade that has ensued is one for the history books.
Time and again, Jones’ argument has been that he face Stipe Miocic first, as was the plan for UFC 295. His more recent brazen disses center around the recognition and attention fighting more well-known names would generate. Miocic, obviously, is one; he’s even willing to fight Pereira, but Tom Aspinall is not.
The heavyweight G.O.A.T considers that only a local UK crowd panders to Aspinall as a champion. He has been very flagrant about touting his G.O.A.T status against the Englishman challenger. Now, he also wants to document his status and his journey to recovery.

To him, Aspinall has remained more of an ‘intern’ champion than an interim one. Moreover, ‘Bones’ truly trusts his value as an all-time great. He has been continually snubbing the challenger based on the differentiation. Now, Jones means to make a short documentary on his rise to fame and fandom and bouncing back to fighting shape.
