Arman Tsarukyan is set to headline a main event less than two weeks after his controversial appearance at RAF Wrestling.

The lightweight contender stirred things up when he lashed out at Georgio Poullas following a gritty 5-3 win at RAF06 in Arizona, sparking a scuffle between the two camps.

He is now back in action, taking on another submission grappling bout at Hype FC’s major event in Brazil.

The card also features Jean Silva from the Fighting Nerds, plus an intriguing matchup between former BMF champion Jorge Masvidal and rising middleweight prospect Shara Magomedov.

Arman Tsarukyan to headline Hype FC event in Rio

Hype FC, one of the top fight organisations in the Middle East, is set to host a major event in Brazil on March 11, and they have just added Tsarukyan to the card.

The UFC lightweight contender has been staying active while waiting for his next fight booking. Since submitting Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar, he has stepped into the ring four times in just over three months.

He has won all but one of those appearances, with ‘Shara Bullet’ holding him to a draw when they faced off at Hype FC back on December 30. That match was short-lived, and both fighters admitted afterwards that they were not clear on the rules.

While Tsarukyan has been confirmed as the main event, his opponent has not yet been named. The same goes for Jean Silva, who is quickly climbing the featherweight ranks and will be fighting at home.

The promotion is known for putting serious money behind their shows. They even offered Tom Hardy a matchup with Magomedov before Tsarukyan took the spot. There is also talk of trying to finally book Dillon Danis against Magomed Zaynukov to settle their long-standing feud.
