Arman Tsarukyan hasn’t been in many street fights, but there’s one he remembers clearly.

His most recent appearance was back in November, when he faced Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar. The two had built up quite a rivalry heading into that fight.

Since then, Tsarukyan has stayed active outside the UFC, competing six times in various grappling and wrestling events. He’s kept busy and continued to build his profile across different combat sports.

Arman Tsarukyan‘s rise to stardom has come as somewhat of a surprise as he has never been a particularly popular fighter in the UFC, but that has quickly changed.

Tsarukyan recalls chaotic street fight

One way the Armenian has raised his profile is by joining streams with some of the world’s most-watched content creators.

His friendship with Nina Drama has gone viral, even if it’s stirred up a fair bit of controversy along the way.

Together with his appearances on Nina Drama’s streams, Tsarukyan often pops up on Neon’s broadcasts too, offering fans another look at his personality away from fighting.

This Thursday, he joined Clavicular’s stream and shared a story about a street fight he found himself in while visiting Estonia.

“Once I went to a European city in Estonia, I went there with my friend to see the old downtown, and some drunk people started talking to my friend and he started fighting,” Tsarukyan told Clavicular. “There were like six or seven drunk guys and my friend was a Muay Thai fighter as well, so it was me and him vs like six or seven people on the main street.”

The UFC lightweight title challenger explained that nothing serious came of it – partly because nobody recognised him at the time. And once he knocked out one of them, the rest backed off pretty quickly.

These days though, Tsarukyan is far from unknown. He’s close to securing a shot at the lightweight belt and has built up plenty of attention outside the cage as well. His rising popularity seems hard for anyone to ignore now.
