Arman Tsarukyan has history letting his striking weapons fly in grappling matches, and ‘Gamebred’ wants Dillon Danis to experience it.

The top UFC lightweight contender has been keeping active away from the Octagon during his ongoing period of uncertainty in mixed martial arts.

Tsarukyan is not in the UFC’s good books, which caused him to miss out on a title shot at the start of this year as a result. He has instead competed in promotions like Hype FC and Real American Freestyle.

The Armenian is still booking matches away from the cage, and the most recent will see him go up against the controversial Danis.

Jorge Masvidal wants to see Arman Tsarukyan beat Dillon Danis up

Despite Tsarukyan claiming to have a UFC return date, he has a set RAF wrestling match for March 28 and appears likely to have another Hype FC clash next month.

The organization’s CEO said Tsarukyan will almost certainly face Danis in Brazil on April 8. He even put the odds of that match happening at “99.9 percent.”

Danis is certainly a polarizing figure in the MMA world, and Jorge Masvidal is among those wanting to see Tsarukyan expand his attacks beyond the grappling ruleset.

“Hope Arman breaks this clown’s face,” Masvidal wrote on social media (h/t Red Corner MMA).

It wouldn’t be the first instance of Tsarukyan bringing his striking arsenal into grappling bouts.

‘Ahalkalakets’ caused a stir last December when he threw a knee at Mehdi Baydulaev during their match at ACBJJ20.

More recently, Tsarukyan attacked Georgio Poullas with punches to start a wild brawl after their RAF06 battle. The UFC star had taken issue with his opponent’s slaps during the bout, which he ultimately won.

Danis has had his fair share of brawls, having been in the middle of the infamous UFC 229 melee after Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor in 2018.

The ex-Bellator fighter also clashed with Islam Makhachev’s Dagestani contingent while in attendance at UFC 322 last November.
