Arman Tsarukyan is known for his discipline inside the cage, but what happens outside of fight camp tells a very different story. The lightweight contender recently opened up about the strict routine he follows while preparing for a fight—and how quickly that structure disappears once it’s over.
During camp, Tsarukyan, who recently defeated Georgio Poullas, keeps things locked in. He revealed that he works with a chef to maintain a clean, performance-focused diet. Breakfast usually consists of eggs or yogurt with granola, lunch is often pasta for energy, and dinner revolves around fish or meat paired with vegetables. It’s a routine built for recovery, endurance, and making weight without unnecessary stress.
But once the fight is done, all bets are off. “I lose all control,” Tsarukyan admitted. “Everything burgers, steaks, BBQ, fried chicken… I eat everything I want.”

It’s a side of fighters fans don’t always see. The extreme discipline required during camp often leads to a complete release afterward, both mentally and physically. For Tsarukyan, that post-fight indulgence isn’t just about food—it’s a reward after weeks of restriction and sacrifice.
Despite winning the bout against Charles Oliveira at UFC 300, Arman Tsarukyan didn’t get the credit he deserved. If anything, he had to experience a lot of criticism, with many fans labeling his spectacular performance a “fluke.” While he seemed unaffected at first, the noise has finally taken over Tsarukyan. He has been looking for a rematch against Oliveira ever since.
A while back, Arman Tsarukyan expressed a desire to fight Oliveira after the UFC 326 bout. While he managed to win via split decision last time, Tsarukyan wants a clear victory to dispel any ‘fluke’ allegations.
He said, “Sometimes Oliveira fights so bad, but sometimes he’s unreal. I still lean towards him to win. I hope Oliveira wins, we have a history. People say I won via split decision, but I think I won convincingly. I won all rounds. I need to finish him and show people that victory wasn’t an accident.”
Unfortunately, Oliveira hasn’t responded to Arman’s wish as of now. And while nothing is confirmed yet, it will be an exciting bout to look out for, if it ever comes to that.
