Chael Sonnen Reveals Biggest Concern For Tom Aspinall in Potential Championship Fight vs. Jon Jones

Jon Jones cemented his place as the undisputed UFC Heavyweight Champion this past Saturday with a brutal spinning back kick to the mid-section of heavyweight legend Stipe Miocic that ended with punches on the ground to finish off the Croatian American legend and a technical knockout victory.

Jones is now 28-1 over the course of his mixed martials arts career with the lone loss coming to Matt 'The Hammer' Hamill via disqualification due to illegal elbows in a bout that wasn't particularly close.

UFC President Dana White praised Jones as the greatest mixed martial artist of all-time following his victory, but refused to honor his request to fight current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and former UFC Middleweight Champion Alex Pereira next, saying that there is "no (expletive) way" the fight will happen in such an order.

Deductive reasoning has led fans to believe that heavyweight contender Tom Aspinall is Jones' next logical opponent.

According to former Jones opponent Chael Sonnen, there is one area in which the British heavyweight slugger may not hold a candle to his UFC heavyweight rival if such a matchup does end up materializing in the UFC cage.

"One thing that worries me about Aspinall is what other people praise him for," UFC Hall-Of-Famer Chael Sonnen said on Submission Radio after the Jones vs. Miocic fight.

"Which is, he's only been out of the first round one time. People praise him for that, he had a good one, almost seven minutes in to finish Andrei Arlovski, I don't like that," Sonnen continued.

"I think that's a problem, you're going to end up third, fourth and fifth round, if you're going to find a way to get the jump on Jon Jones, nobody's doing it fast, and I think that's one thing that Jon has, he's tough, he can regroup, he shows up in great shape regardless of his lifestyle, I've never seen anyone out-condition him, I'm just going to plant that seed right now."
